I need a smaller brush pen (or maybe even a rubber stamp or two), and that bird on the far left is supposed to be hunched over but needs some work. |
Sorry, all pictures taken in the morning sun while relaxing at the pergola table. But you get the idea hopefully. Yes, these are Tula fabrics. |
In some good news/bad news, I've been good on the exercise thing, and did forty minutes of weights (me and my two pounders) today. I also had, you guessed it, the red can of coke this morning. Maybe I can alternate mornings?
Tonight in order to avoid waste and have something frugal to chat about, we have a modge podge of leftovers. Steak tenderloins, lemon garlic chicken tenders, a throw together chili made with things on hand (my sister tends to be living proof that creativity does not only equate craftiness, but applies to food as well) and brown sugar pork chops. After two leftover lunch days and dinner, I think we're on to real food again tomorrow. Only since I never took any of that inventory out of said freezer, I believe we'll be doing the deli chicken and biscuits thing.
I leave you with a picture of my newest mask and my temporary buzz cut, along with some obligatory dog pictures, in my bed and on the ever loving dying yard.
The flowers, trees, and plants, they are blooming. The grass is going the other way in this drought. |
With only the nightstand light, on top of not one, but two of his own blankies/quilts whie he awaits fo his master to return from work. Leaving him will be traumatic. For both of us. |
Love your mask and greeting cards. I think you did well on the cards.
ReplyDeleteAre you quilting with a machine? You're so prolific with making them I'm guessing you do.
Yes, all on machine. My sister has bern known top occasionally hand quilt a top.
DeleteWe have leftovers several times a week . . . so does our dog!
ReplyDeleteWe love leftivers. Unfortunately my dog's stomach hates them.
DeleteI am glad to meet (virtually) a fellow dabbler who also thinks there are better uses of time than cleaning and organizing!
ReplyDeletelol. I try, I do. But im generally one of those i care about stuff being picked up more than i do about clean (aside from bathrooms and food related stuff).
DeleteCreativity does not only equate to craftiness. I mistakenly thought of creativity as artistic, i.e. the visual arts. I've come to realize that creativity is translated into gardening, cooking, home decorating. The chest freezer is often defrosted in the winter months when the contents can be kept frozen outside during the process. I've come to put dates on packages. I'm sometimes surprised at how long something has been in the freezer. The latest additions to the frozen food supply has been rhubarb and saskatoons. Last night's dinner included grilled pork chops and pineapple with cinnamon pear balsamic vinegar.
ReplyDeleteI tend to think that any time you are solving a problem or coming up with a solution you are creative.
DeleteLove that mask!
ReplyDeleteMe too. There was another one that was white with large donkeys but the kid kept that one.
DeleteYou are such a creative whirlwind and a lady after my heart with an organized freezer. Oh, and I vote for the mask.
ReplyDeleteOnly organized cause im trying not to spend grocery money. Although I did have heavy cloth shppping bags holding different categories like meat, fish and frozen veggies.
DeleteYou did a great job on your cards! I always miss my dogs when I need to be away from home so I know you'll miss your son's dog when you move.
ReplyDeletethanks. It will be an adjustment for both of us.
DeleteI have a teeny top of the refrigerator freezer, but I must admit in the past I've not been careful of what I have. That has all changed in the last six months. I keep up with what I have and have been eating dinner from the freezer regularly. I applaud the amount of work it must have taken to make order. Love our mask!
ReplyDeleteyes. My goal is to not spend money on food or as little as possible for the next couple of months so it had to be done. We do have a bunch of beef, so no one said meals would be balanced out .
DeleteI have a clean out the fridge night at least once a week, and Harvey enjoys any leftovers that I have not earmarked for another meal for his lunches.
ReplyDeleteLove the fabric choices for your newest quilt.
God bless.
food for you. We tend to just cook every other night and eat leftovers in between. Im a sandwich girl but everyone else eats them for lunch.
DeleteLove, love, LOVE that mask! Well done. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you. I love it as wel.
DeleteNice mask! I suppose the yard/grass doesn't do well without lots of watering...which would likely cost a fortune.
ReplyDeleteI've arrived from my daughter's and I haven't looked in the fridge so supper will be a surprise. Or likely a sandwich.
We do have sprinklers going. But with no natural rain at all its kind of a lost cause for the grass and she handwaters all the plants. Sandwiches are always good.
DeleteYou certainly are busy. But, it's so important to have something to do, even if it's just mundane! I, for one, can not sit without something to do. Have a great day. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteToday I am spending the morning reading a book!
