With everything else I have been doing, I have been reading voraciously and do believe now that I have updated the book page that I am up to thirty books after finsihing the newest Prey book today.Yes, I do read quickly. I used to do research professionally and can scan and track with comprehension with ease. Would that my typing skills were half of what my reading skills are.
Today I feel slightly grumpy but I am really tired of the numbers of people I am seeing out and about for no good reason, other than maybe they are bored. The peak keeps getting shoved out and out and out here and I wish people would stay home. Sigh. Stay home.
So what happened today?
- I did a full half hour of heavy aerobics and about twenty minutes of strength training and stretches so my back is much better. Still downing the Tylenol Arthritis, but better!
- I just threw a Schwan's chicken enchilada casserole in the oven which we had with veggies and fruit so no real cooking today
- I took Ziplocs and bagged up the pictures we had sorted so far into the large groups (my family pictures, all the Europe pictures, my side of the family old photos and so on). Once all the pictures (still more left) are sorted into the large groupings, then I'll do things like sort Europe into London and Paris and Prague, but not before. No sewing was done but I did take a large piece of paper and write down all the different cuts I needed before I started the projects! And some will defiitely be for me!
- I read most of the newest John Sandford Prey book, and may start a new tv series tonight as I work to de-knot my yarn.
- I made a plan for my son to help me organize one of those large heavy plastic storage shelves in my (huge) bedroom so I dont have to go into the basement or to the garage to store bags for donation, stuff to give to kids, and other things that need to go out of the house. So my work is cut out for me tomorrow!
- Son broke from house quarantine to get a McDonald's burger while he went to get gas and propane. No I am not happy about it. Yes, highly vunerable or not at thirty he is his own man, and he did it because I am not comfortable with takeout/delivery. That aside, for a high anxiety, depressive type who normally needs all his pals he is most mellow here at the second week. Even with us old fogies. And the yard clean up on my gigantic three tiered yard is progressing well!
- Oh....and on my way to bed I pushed the file button and authorized my tax payment. With no serious investments and no home ownership they take ten minutes. I can pay what I owe and see no reason to take the government up on the delay, so there we go.
27,000 cases of Cvid-19 in my state and probably more because they're aren't enough tests to go around. And yet people up the street from me had 9 cars loads of people in at their house to celebrate on Easter! Stay-at-home I guess doesn't apply to them. I was more than 'grumpy' about it!

Other than at the grocery, we never are in contact with anyone. I saw no large groups of people any of the houses on this street or any we passed. However, one house with three cars normally had none there. You get lots done.

DeleteYES! A nice drive through some wilderness would be a great gift for my birthday! I have not been in a car since March 12. My only hobbies are my WLLO Volunteer work and helping with the boys. Parents have been lackadaisical about doing 3-4 hours of schooling per day since they announced no school for the rest of the academic year. BUT .. got notice of online schooling starting Monday!

DeleteOurs is, thankfully, a stay at home order that includes going out and walking or hiking as long as you use social distancing and stay near your home. Some people think that means driving an hour or so away, which I think violates the spirit of the rule. I don't think I'd be in very good shape mentally if I couldn't get out and walk every day. I do have friends, though, who physically stay inside their homes.

DeleteMy husband rebelled after a month and did the same McDonalds run, I am not thrilled with takeout either - but in future we will do so with way less exposure where there aren't multiple people on a food line. More of a Mom/Pop type place. If that is what it takes to keep the peace at our house so be it. I do think the exposure was minimal though, at least here

DeleteI go for a walk very early in the morning so I don't run into anyone I know, maintain the 2 meter distance where I can when shopping. The only time we go further afield is when we go to our sons and since it is straight in, stay in (except for taking out the garbage) and straight back home. We even stay 6 feet away from him and he has not been anywhere for 2 and a half months!

DeleteMy husband and I took a day off from exercise today.Both have been hitting it heavy and have a few aches and pains..so, tomorrow back on the wagon. I made a meatloaf for supper and froze half. Served with leftover mashed potatoes and garlic sauted fresh spinach.Husband is on a ZOOM meeting with his discussion group.Tomorrow I have a ZOOM with my art group. Also weary of people chomping at bit to go out when Arizona is still seeing increases in cases and deaths. Many people still hiking and going to trails, parks, etc. I am also wishing I could go on a trip, or to the thrift store, or the library, but will SIT TIGHT, as I am not going to expose myself to this if I can help it.
