Busy. And Tired.

That combination has kept me away from you, my friends. Too much on my plate after jumping into my post Covid activities and a very large drop in energy level that I have been working on rectifying-and which I'll share more about on Monday (it's not a scary thing, just a pain in the you know what thing, honestly)

But I am still here, I'll be back to normal posting on Monday although posts may be shorter (perhaps a good thing?), and mean while......a few random photos.

The tentative pattern for my Alice fabrics only with a bright lime green background. We'll see.

Took my first little afternoon drive to a small town where I saw the little church with these beautiful windows (a modern church!) and the post office museum below

A prototype for a new bag to gift and sell. I can live with the sideways tea cups but it drives my OCD daughter crazy

Some pride related sewing for gifting and selling

My working to be read list and list of books coming soon

Current binge as it started to day - final season

Just finished book which I simply cannot recommend highly enough. A must read.

  1. The sideways tea cups make me want to turn my head to see them “right” lol. Glad you are getting out and about.

  3. Because I can't be vaccinated due to a life-changing bout with serum sickness after an H1N1 vaccination, I'm bereft at not being able to join the post-vaccination crowd. Still, the descent of the Texas heat after some time with cooler, rainier weather has slowed me the last two weeks. Maybe it has you, too?

    1. That is certainly part of it. Im still not finished adjusting to the humidity difference between Colorado and Texas.

  4. I'd vote with your daughter too. Pretty fabric though.

  5. No objection on the bag, but apparently I'm an outlier. ;-) I'm really into the Amazon Jack Ryan series, with John Krasinski.

  6. I sure missed you! And your posts. Short blogs and photos will do just fine!

  7. Thank you for the reminder to watch Bosch! I can't believe I forgot about the final season already. And for the book recommendation. I am the library's waitlist now...14 weeks...luckily I have other books coming due in the meantime. Thanks again, Barb!

    1. I'm ashamed to say I binged it in two days. And ince a month I allow my self a full.priced book from Amazon and that was it. I'm low on the list on many of my book reserves.

  8. I think we all suffer from a post-Covid drop in energy level. I tried Amazon's Bosch, couldn't get into it. The Bosch in my mind's eye from the book seems so much better. But also, thanks for the Whitaker recommendation; got to check it out.

  9. I'll put the book on my wish list in Amazon and wait for it to go on sale in the future. :)

I like the bag, but I'm in the majority about the direction. However if I were carrying it, it wouldn't bother me in the least.

  10. My wife and I love Bosch. Thanks for the reminder it is available. We tend to do 2 episodes a sitting so it goes pretty quick. Hate that this is the final season!

  11. Sorry, the sideways tea cups would drive me crazy as well. Think it is my OCD.

Hmmm, I am going to keep my eye open for that book.

    God bless.

Thanks for stopping by! I love to hear from others, and I also love to hear all points of view.. Just leave the profanity and insults at home, OK? Thanks!!
